Andrew Dice Clay is proud to be America's most controversial comic. When he released his album, "Dice," the parental advisory label dispensed with the usual list and cut to the chase: "Warning: This album is offensive."

To this day, Clay remains the only comedian banned for life from MTV. But despite the notoriety, Clay has become widely popular. "Dice" went gold, and its sequel, "The Day the Laughter Died" entered the Top 40. Clay was the first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row. He also released a DVD, "Andrew Dice Clay--No Apologies," featuring a performance before an enthusiastic crowd at Long Island's Westbury Music Fair.

That was all in the '90s. The secret to Clay's continuing success is that he has a lot more going for him than a potty mouth. In fact, Clay is a disciplined, talented and versatile performer. His acting roles and appearances on television have shown that Clay is capable of being just as funny without cursing. He even had his own situation comedy, at least briefly. (Of special note: Make sure to check out Clay's movie, "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane," for a hilarious appearance by Vegas legend Wayne Newton as the fiendish villain.)

Clay's movie and recording careers have been picking up again in recent years, too. Among his films are "My 5 Wives" and "One Night at McCool's."

In 2007, Clay appeared in his own reality show, "Dice: Undisputed" on VH1, which focused on the comedian as he wrote a book, recorded a CD and produced his radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Of course, audiences continue to demand stand-up from the Diceman and Clay is happy to oblige. He is always coming up with new material, so be ready for some fresh (pun intended) nursery rhymes when the Diceman takes the stage.
